Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Pinlot (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a real estate marketing analysis tool that helps you save, compare, and analyze property listings using AI. Pinlot is a product of Armaghast Industries LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is stored and protected.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account data

When you create an account we collect your name and email address, and store a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

2.2 Property listing data

When you save a property listing through the extension, we extract and store publicly available information from the listing page: title, URL, price, location, area, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, property type, operation type (rent/sale), and the raw HTML of the page. Raw HTML is used only to power AI analysis features and is stored in a separate table to keep it isolated.

2.3 AI conversation history

If you use the AI chat feature and have conversation storage enabled in your settings, the messages you exchange with the AI assistant are stored in our database and linked to your account. You can disable this in Settings at any time.

2.4 Usage and technical data

We collect standard server logs (IP address, HTTP method, path, response code, timestamp) for security monitoring and debugging. These logs are not sold or shared with third parties.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate your account and maintain your session.
• To sync saved property listings across your devices.
• To generate AI-powered summaries, pros/cons, and marketing insights for saved listings.
• To track price changes and listing status for properties you have saved.
• To enforce plan limits (number of saved listings, conversations).
• To improve the reliability and security of the service.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to any third party.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a database hosted on a secure infrastructure. All communication between the extension, the web app, and our servers uses HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored locally in chrome.storage.local and are never exposed to page scripts.

We apply rate limiting and input validation on all API endpoints. Passwords are hashed before storage.

5. Website Permissions (Chrome Extension)

The Pinlot Chrome extension requests access to 40+ real estate websites. This access is used exclusively to extract publicly visible property data (price, location, area, bedrooms, etc.) from listing pages that you intentionally visit and choose to save. The extension does not read or transmit any data from websites outside the supported real estate platforms, and it does not run on pages you have not navigated to.

The extension does not inject advertisements, modify page content, or track your browsing history.

6. Third-Party AI Providers

AI analysis is powered by one or more large language model providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or xAI). When you request an AI analysis or send a chat message, the relevant property context and your message are sent to the selected provider. Please review the privacy policy of the active AI provider for details on how they handle inference requests. We do not share your account information or full listing history with AI providers — only the data needed to answer your specific request.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete a saved listing, it is removed from our database immediately. If you delete your account, all associated data (listings, conversations, settings) is permanently deleted within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your saved listings and conversations through the Pinlot dashboard.
• Deletion: You can delete individual listings or conversations at any time. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at the address below.
• Export: You can export your saved listings from the dashboard.
• Opt-out: You can disable AI conversation storage in Settings → your messages will no longer be saved.

9. Children's Privacy

Pinlot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Pinlot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
